st race [Md 20000, 6F] – (2) Macaw was claimed in Kentucky in June for $50,000 after he had the lead and lost by a nose. He moved up to a $100,000 claimer, could not compete at that level, and will now make his first start for Linda Rice. (1) Two Tons of Fun was fourth in a maiden special weight in the Spring, tried the grass to no avail, and drops in for a tag in his fourth start. (8) Conniving has a pair of seconds for a $40,000 tag. (5) Shakin the Belle has three top three finishes in a row at this level.

rd race [NY, Alw 95000 N1X, 1 mi] – (9) Chasing Daylight was second in her last two starts at this level at Aqueduct. (5) Strong Play was claimed from a debut victory for $40,000 by Horacio De Paz who has four winners at Saratoga already. (6) Mel’s Baby Sister was second in a first-level allowance in what was her second start of the year. (1) Shehanah pressed the pace and got her maiden victory for a $30,000 tag less than three weeks ago.

th race [NY, OC 45k/N2X, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (8) Autumn Glory (A) was slow to start, then rank under restraint, got the lead, and faded. (9) Snowy Evening was second at this level and then tried a NY-bred stakes race. (7) Overacting won the first-level state-bred allowance in her first start of the year and also tried a stake race. (6) Can’t Fool Me is in fine form in her two starts this year with a second and then a victory in the first-level allowance.

th race [Honorable Miss (G2), 6F] – (2) Everyoneloveslinda (B) was hard checked back to last at the start and had not chance as a horse that prefers to race on the front end. (5) Sterling Silver was third in a NY-bred stakes race last time following a pair of Grade 1s in Kentucky. (1) Accede won her last three starts including the Bed O’ Roses (G2) at Aqueduct in June and a pair of Keeneland allowances. (4) Clearly Unhinged won both of her starts this year in the Winning Colors (G3) and an allowance at Churchill Downs.

Best bets: Macaw (1st); Chasing Delight (3rd). Best value: Autumn Glory (6th); Everyoneloveslinda (7th).
