2nd race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (6) Snarky (D) was bet down from 7-1 to 5-1 for her debut where she flashed early speed and gets blinkers on now. (8) My Mane Squeeze finished third in her first start which was at Saratoga three weeks ago and also gets blinkers. (1) Dolomite will make her first career start for Chad Brown with a lengthy series of workouts this summer. (2) Perfectly Mperfect will make her first start as a daughter of Sharp Azteca who has been a productive young sire.

5th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 mi] – (5) Locked (A) broke slowly, had to be steadied, and then rallied from last to third in his debut for Todd Pletcher. (3) Sturdy has been working steadily for his first start for George Weaver who is having a strong Saratoga meeting. (9) Resilience gets Irad to ride for his initial race for Bill Mott and is also well prepared. (2) Golden Plate is a home-bred son of Tapit sporting some quick workouts for Kenny McPeek for his debut.

6th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (3) Focus Pocus had the lead in the stretch of her debut and finished second between a pair of return winners with the first-place horse becoming a stakes winner last weekend. (2) My Kinda Mischief was second the entire race in her first start at odds of 4-1 at Saratoga three weeks ago. (1) Ekwanok got bumped and steadied in her first start and finished fifth and now gets the services of Irad. (5) Miss Maximus will make her first start for Brad Cox who has excellent stats with his firsters.

7th race [Alw 149500, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (8) Expand the Map (B) checked in the final turn to avoid a fallen horse and lost all chance at that point. (4) Root Cause will come back from a June layoff after running third beaten by only a length after racing six wide. (1) Quarrel started the year with a fourth-place finish in a Grade 3 at Belmont Park. (2) Stephanie’s Charm was second in the Ginger Brew at Gulfstream Park in January as she looks for that second career victory.

Best bets: Locked (5th); Expand the Map (7th). Best value: Snarky (2nd); Focus Pocus (6th).
