5th race [Prioress (G2), 6F] – (3) Unsung Melody (B) was third in the Wilton at Saratoga behind the winner that just came back to take the Alabama (G1). (5) Dazzling Blue won her first three starts easily including a stakes race at Fair Grounds but then had to face Maple Leaf Mel in the Victory Ride (G3) in what was a fast race. (1) Jersey Pearl ran in the Test (G1) last time and found trouble in the final turn and that was after an impressive pair of allowance wins in Kentucky. (4) Alva Starr may be on the lead in what is projected to be a fast pace. Last time she won a stake at Delaware Park.

6th race [Md Sp Wt, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (10) Agate Road (A) got off to an awkward start in his debut at 7-2 for Todd Pletcher and then rallied just missing the win by a nose while well ahead of the rest of the field. (7) Ocala Rocket will make his first start for Bill Mott who has always been better with first-time starters on the turf. (1) Walley World will make his first appearance for Chad Brown and is by an excellent turf sire. (3) Tom Collins was heavily bet in his debut at 9-2 for Shug McGaughey and set the pace in a race that was meant for the turf but was run on the main track.

11th race [Jockey Club Gold Cup (G1), 1 ¼ mi] – (4) Rattle N Roll has been able to improve throughout his career where he has won eight times. This year he ran five triple-digit Beyer Speed Figures where he won three Grade 3 stakes at three different tracks. His win streak was stopped in the Stephen Foster (G1) when his late rally fell a half-length short. The 10 furlong distance should work to his favor. (6) Tyson ships down to Saratoga from Woodbine to make his first start on a dirt surface after winning a pair of graded stakes on the artificial surface. Trainer Josie Carroll has shipped to Saratoga to win big races in the past. (1) Proxy won the Clark (G1) last year and won the Oaklawn Handicap (G2) and the Monmouth Cup (G3) in his last three starts. (8) Bright Future bounced back from getting eased in the Brooklyn (G2) to get an impressive victory in an allowance at Saratoga.

12th race [NY, Md 40000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (4) Camcha (C) was second in her debut at Belmont Park and was bet down from 8-1 to 5-1 in June behind the winner who is now a NY-bred stakes winner. (3) Dream Road gets a pass for the bad performance on the dirt and gets back on the grass where she had the lead and finished second. Blinkers go on for the first time. (5) Jannie Mae is projected to be on the lead once again which lead to a pair of third-place finishes. (6) Lem Me Drink has a couple of starts this year that make him a contender in this field.

Best bets:  Rattle N Roll (11th); Camcha (12th). Best value:  Unsung Melody (5th); Agate Road (6th).
