Ten Added to Friday’s Keeneland November Horses of Racing Age Sale

Keeneland has supplemented 10 horses, including 2023 stakes winner Lady Lowery, to Friday’s Horses of Racing Age Sale. A total of 330 horses – including 2022 Kentucky Derby (G1) Presented by Woodford Reserve winner Rich Strike, who will be offered as a stallion prospect – are cataloged to the single-session auction, which will begin at noon ET.

Horses in the latest round of supplements are:

  • Detroit City, a 4-year-old gelding by Dialed In who is a two-time allowance winner this year. Consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, he is out of stakes winner Quality Lass, by Exclusive Quality.
  • Frothy, a 3-year-old filly by Liam’s Map out of the winning Giant’s Causeway mare Rooms. She is consigned by Denali Stud, agent.
  • Heart Headed, a 2-year-old colt by Oscar Performance who won a maiden special weight race at Churchill Downs on Nov 9. Consigned by ELiTE, agent, he is out of multiple stakes winner La Malaguena, by English Channel, and from the family of Grade 2 winner Golden Pond (IRE) and Jack Hobbs, a highweight in Ireland, England and the United Arab Emirates.   • Lady Claypoole (IRE), a 3-year-old filly by Starspangledbanner (AUS) consigned by Bluewater Sales, agent. Out of the winning Singspiel (IRE) mare Short Affair (GB), she is a half-sister to German Group 2 winner and Spanish Horse of the Year Rodaballo (GB).
  • Lady Lowery, a 3-year-old filly by Munnings whose two victories in three starts this year include the Beyond The Wire S. at Laurel Park. Out of the Revolutionary mare Last Dance, she is from the family of Canadian Horse of the Year Dance Smartly, Grade 1 winner and leading sire Smart Strike and Grade 3 winner and sire Speightster. ELiTE, agent consigns Lady Lowery.
  • Masmak, a 2-year-old Vino Rosso colt who is a half-brother to Grade 2 winner Three Technique and multiple stakes winner Stan the Man. Consigned by ELiTE, agent, he is out of the winning Grade 3-placed mare Night in Rome, by Harlan’s Holiday.
  • Murray, a 4-year-old colt by Street Sense who is a two-time allowance winner this year in Maryland. He is out of Now Now, by Tiznow, and from the family of Grade 1 winners Listening and La Coronel along with Grade 2 winners Beautiful Noise and Listen Here. Murray is consigned by ELiTE, agent. 
  • Nadette (FR), a 4-year-old French stakes-winning daughter of Outstrip (GB) who was second in the 2022 Autumn Miss S. (G3) and placed in two consecutive stakes this year in California. Bluewater Sales, agent, consigns the filly, who is out of the winning Pivotal (GB) mare Ciboulette (IRE).
  • Penzance, a 3-year-old Uncle Mo gelding who won a maiden special weight race this year at Colonial Downs. Consigned by Taylor Made Sales Agency, agent, for Godolphin, he is out of Grade 2 winner Penwith, by Bernardini, and from the family of Grade 1 winner Composure.
  • What Say Thee, a 5-year-old gelding by Sea The Stars (IRE) who won a maiden special weight race at Gulfstream Park. Out of the stakes-winning Tapit mare Noisy Feet, he is consigned by Hunter Valley Farm, agent.

Rich Strike is first horse to sell

Kentucky Derby winner Rich Strike, a 4-year-old colt by Keen Ice who earned more than $2.5 million, is consigned to the November Horses of Racing Age Sale as a stallion prospect by Candy Meadows Farm, agent for RED TR-Racing.

The classic winner is Hip No. 4001A and will be the first horse in the sale ring.
