th race [NY, OC45k/N2X, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (4) Palace Gossip (D) pressed the pace and finished fourth while getting bet down from 5-1 to 3-1. She will now try two turns for the first time. (6) Out of Sight never runs a bad race for excellent turf trainer David Donk. (3) Spungie will make her 2022 debut for Bill Mott with plenty of races last year that make her a serious contender. (8) My Lips Are Sealed moves to the barn of Rob Atras to make her first start of the year. She won the first-level allowance when last seen racing in September.

th race [OC62k/N2X, 7F] – (5) Brattle House moved through her NY-bred allowance conditions at Belmont Park and then won the first-level allowance against open company by five lengths. She is projected to be on the lead again as she moves up the ladder. (4) Betsy Blue was second in her last three races at this level and hit the board in all five of her starts at Saratoga. (3) Sweet Solare tried the grass in a stake last time and that did not work out well, so she is back sprinting on the dirt where she is stakes placed. (6) Sweet Willemina won a pair of starter allowances at Parx Racing in her last two starts. With 12 career wins she will race for the $62,500 tag.

th race [The Mahony, 5 ½ F TURF] – (2) Big Invasion won his last five starts with four of them in stakes races at four different tracks for Christophe Clement. He won the Quick Call (G3) opening week at the Spa. (5) That’s Right won his last three starts including the My Frenchman at Monmouth Park last month. (7) Determined Kingdom won his two most recent races with the Punchline at Colonial Downs being his last race. (1) Cadamosto will make his American debut for Joseph O’Brien after racing in Group 1 and 2 stakes in the United Kingdom.

th race [Alw 50000s, 1 mi TURF] – (5) Hatch (D) pressed the pace in a $50,000 N2L claimer and finished fourth after getting bet down 4-1 to 2-1 in a race that was meant for the turf but went on a sloppy Saratoga track. (9) Seaver has a second and a third in similar spots in his last two races. (3) Reckless Spirit started twice this year in starter allowances and showed an improvement when he had the lead and missed by a neck. (2) Brazillionaire won his last two starts while moving up from N2L to N3L. He got claimed last time.

Best bets:  Brattle House (8th); Big Invasion (9th). Best value: Palace Gossip (7th); Hatch (10th).
