Today’s NY Hot List races to watch – Sunday, August 7, 2022 at Saratoga

3rd race [OC80k/N3X, 6½ F] – (3) Dealing Justice (B) set the pace and then was second behind a good one while finishing well ahead of the rest of the field. (5) Liberty M D ran her best speed figure as she improved to win the second-level allowance for Ian Wilkes. (4) Dr B was fourth in the Regret in his second start of the year after winning the N2X allowance at Parx Racing. The pace projector says that he will be on the lead. (6) Fouette ran a big speed figure to win an allowance for Linda Rice.

4th race [Adirondack (G3), 6½ F] – (3) Promise of Hope was heavily backed at the windows in her debut victory for Tom Amoss at Churchill Downs last month. Amoss is adept at training speed horses. (2) Naughty Gal made a huge improvement in her second start for D. Wayne Lukas when she broke her maiden by more than nine lengths in Kentucky. (1) Apple Picker is projected to be on the lead from the rail after winning at first asking for Rudy Rodriguez. (4) Sabra Tuff was second last time in the Debutante at Churchill for Dallas Stewart.

7th race [Saratoga Oaks (G3), 1 3/16 mi TURF] – (4) Walkathon won three in a row since moving to the grass in a maiden at Keeneland in April. Her most recent win was in the Regret (G3) over McKulick who won the Belmont Oaks (G1). (2) McKulick won the Oaks last month for Chad Brown. (3) With The Moonlight had the lead in the stretch of the Belmont Oaks for Charlie Appleby but got passed by McKulick. (6) Oakhurst was second in her last start in the Wild Applause at Belmont Park in June for Chad Brown.

8th race [Alw 115000 N1X, 7F] – (4) Empire Hope (A) beat a strong field in her debut for Chad Brown when she rallied to win at Belmont Park. (5) Colorful Mischief broke her maiden at Churchill Downs in her second try for Todd Pletcher and then was third in the allowance race for winners. (8) Portilla won the first race of her career last year at Churchill, raced at Saratoga last summer, and recently was a neck shy of an allowance win in her 2022 debut for Al Stall Jr.
