By Matt Shifman and Bob Ehalt

Hot List Key:
 A:
A preferred horse to watch                         B: Secondary horse to watch
*C: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 1st through 3rd
*D: Went down 2 or more betting notches and finished 4th or worse
* - 4 or more betting notches if 11-1 or more.

2nd race [NY, Md 40000, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (5) Media Sensation (B) ran in an open company race last time and the rider lost his irons early on, recovered, and was able to rally for second beaten by less than a length. (8) On Palm Sunday set the early pace in his second start and then fought gamely to take the place spot. (4) Sell Something appreciated the stretch out in distance as he improved to a third-place finish behind the second choice. (9) Highgate Road switches barns and drops into the claiming ranks for the first time in his third start.

6th race [NY, Md Sp Wt, 6F] – (8) Quick Chaos (B) was sent off at 4-1 and ran third in his debut after climbing badly from the kickback. He gets blinkers on now and the outside post might help him stay clear of the flying dirt. (9) Ten Cent Town was second in his first start as the favorite for trainer Bill Morey. (7) Acoustic Ave will make his debut for the Clement barn showing a pair of recent fast workouts. (10) Bobby the Tank will take to the track for the first time for Chad Brown.

8th race [OC 62k/N2X, 5½F TURF] – (4) Fauci (B) got blocked in the stretch and when he finally got a clear path it was too late to get the win although he was second by less than a length. The horse that was first came back to win his next start. (11) Noble Emotion won a turf sprint allowance at Saratoga last year and tried a stake in his 2022 debut. (10) Chuck Willis will drop in for a tag for the first time after racing at Woodbine for Mark Casse. He is projected to be part of the early pace. (1) Lyrical Poet won a race at Saratoga last summer and has an allowance win at Keeneland in his only start of the year.

10th race [Alw 50000s, 1 1/16 mi TURF] – (4) Rosemary Potatoes (B) encountered inside traffic and bumped rivals to get clear and finished third. She was then disqualified for interference. (3) Voice of Spring returned from a layoff to win a N3L claimer and then came up a neck short of a victory in a starter allowance which was an improved effort. (6) Stella Mars missed by a nose last month after a poor break and having to race wide. (8) Radiant Gem won her last two starts in a maiden claimer and then for a $50,000 tag.

Best bets:  Media Sensation (2nd); Fauci (8th). Best value:  Quick Chaos (6th); Rosemary Potatoes (10th).

No.
