Keeneland’s main track (dirt) is open seven days a week from 5:30-10 a.m. The main track has 2 breaks in the morning - #1 from 7-7:30 a.m. and #2 from 8:30-9 a.m.
Reserved Speed Work Window: 10 minutes after each renovation break reserved for horses that are breezing
Keeneland’s training track (Polytrack) is open seven days a week from 5:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. with no renovation break.

Training Requirements
Only horses who are stabled at Keeneland are permitted to work or exercise on Keeneland’s training surfaces, and those who wish to conduct a work must complete a series of steps in advance.

Gate Schooling
The starter and assistant starters are available for gate schooling in the 4 ½ f chute on the main track. Starting on Tuesday, May 18th the Keeneland Starting Gate will open :30 minutes earlier daily with a new start time of 6 a.m. The new hours for the Starting Gate will now be Tuesday – Sunday from 6 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.
