Entry Changes
Your entry to Keeneland will look slightly different, but you’ll find the same exemplary Keeneland experience waiting for you just past the gates. Here’s everything you need to know in order to ensure a smooth experience:
Entry to the Grounds
GATE 1:
Entry for The Hill and Meadow Lots, Bus Lot, Accessible Parking and RideShare.
GATE 2:
Entry for Clubhouse Valet, Gold and Green Lots.
Parking
Please review our new parking information carefully to see changes including:
- Free, public parking will be available in The Hill and Meadow. Patrons will have access to complimentary shuttling to shuttle depot. Customer service representatives will be at each shuttle stop to help with questions.
- All paved parking rows will be for permit parking and free accessible parking only. Free accessible parking is located in paved parking Rows 21-25. No reservation is required for accessible parking.
- Parking permits for the Bus Lot must be purchased in advance. Daily passes available.
- Please note our new Ride Share location
Shuttles
Complimentary shuttle stops are located in The Hill and Meadow. These shuttles will drop patrons off at the new Shuttle Depot, where patrons will be directed by Guest Services to either the South or North Grandstand entrance.
Complimentary golf cart shuttles will be available to any patron who requires mobility assistance in the Shuttle Depot or the Accessible parking rows. These shuttles will pick up and drop off at the South Grandstand entrance.
There will be no vehicular traffic to the South Grandstand entrance.
Prepare to Walk
Due to construction, the pedestrian paths are different than normal. Please allow additional time to walk to the admission gates.
From the Shuttle Depot, patrons will follow a designated pedestrian walkway to the South or North admission gates. Guest Services will be available to direct patrons to the correct grandstand entrance, based on their ticket type.
Patrons parking in the permit-only paved parking rows will enter through the South Grandstand Entrance, as usual.
Admission Gates
Admission gates have been redesigned for efficiency. For ease of scanning at admission gates, it is recommended that patrons download tickets to their smart phones instead of printing at home.
Scanning on Smart Phone: Select mobile ticket at purchase. Two weeks from your scheduled ticket date, you will receive a notification that the mobile tickets are ready for download. Add the tickets to your Apple or Android Wallet. Upon entry, hold your mobile device up to the scanner at the gate for easy entry on race day.
If you need to share a ticket, use the transfer button to share digitally through e-mail or text. DO NOT screenshot the image.
Scanning from Printed Ticket: If you selected Print at Home, from your desktop open your purchased ticket in a separate browser and print as an 8.5x11 document. You will scan this ticket at the gate.
DO NOT screenshot or resize the image
Parking
With construction underway on the new Paddock Building, parking and entry into Keeneland will look slightly different but fans will find the same exceptional Keeneland service at every step. Keeneland’s new construction footprint has reduced the number of available paved spaces on race day.
Free, public parking will be available in The Hill and Meadow. Patrons will have access to complimentary shuttling to shuttle depot. Customer service representatives will be at each shuttle stop to help with questions.
All paved parking rows will be for permit parking and free accessible parking only. No reservation is required for accessible parking.
Patrons who have purchased race day tickets are able to pre-purchase a parking space in the Green Lot. These parking spaces will be limited each day and are expected to sell out. Free parking will still be available in The Hill and Meadow each day and do not require reservation in advance.
Complimentary accessible parking with shuttle service to the South Grandstand Entrance is available. Enter Gate 1 to access.
Uber/Lyft/Taxis, personal pick-ups/drop-offs and private car services (sedans and SUVs) will be directed to Ride Share, located adjacent to the Shuttle Depot. Due to the construction footprint, there will be NO vehicular access to the North or South Grandstand Entrances for drop-off/pick-up.
Parking spaces in the Bus Lot are for commercial buses and must now be purchased in advance.
Purchase Parking Permit.Patrons arriving before 10 a.m., Wednesday through Sunday to visit the Keeneland Shop, Tours, Morning Workouts and Sunrise Trackside, will be parked in the lower rows of the Green Lot. Vehicles must be moved by 10:30 a.m. or cars will be towed. Entry through Gate 1.
Patrons who have purchased a Green Lot pass may have their ticket scanned to park in the upper rows of the Green Lot and remain there for the entire race day.
Entry Policies
Patrons will be asked to walk through metal detectors prior to entry, and soft checks will be performed on purses and backpacks. Firearms and weapons are not allowed within the Keeneland gates.
